An artiste whose portrayal of a role/s - which is not the lead - was so effective that she/he became identified with it, she/he became the character, the character became her/him. She/he should have displayed a range of emotions and histrionics that made the character extremely believable and real. She/he should be known more by her/his screen name than her/his real one ideally. The character should have become memorable.

An artiste whose portrayal of a role/s - which is not the lead - was so effective that she/he became identified with it, she/he became the character, the character became her/him. She/he should have displayed a fantastic sense of the comic, humour, timing, spontaneity, improvisation and whose essaying of a role had the audiences in splits courtesy her/his performance. She/he should be known more by her/his screen name than her/his real one ideally. The character should have become memorable.

PO 12 - Television Personality

A TV anchor / host / actor / presenter / professional who emerged as one of the outstanding TV performers during the year who overshadowed all his/her peers on screen and should have consistently topped in terms of impact, visibility, and acceptability.

PO 13 - Female, PO 14 - Male

An artiste who played a villainous/negative character effectively, should have been loved/hated because she/he understood the nuances of villainy and brought out the best from within herself/himself to become identified with the character.

Fresh New Face
PO 15 - Female, PO 16 - Male

The most talked about and talented debutante of the year. She/He should have created a BIG impact with her/his performance and developed a commendable fan following. She/He should have appeared for the FIRST time on television in the given period in a major role.

Actress/ Actor in a Lead Role
PO 17 - Female, PO 18 - Male

An artiste whose essaying of a role/s was so effective that she/he became identified with it. She/He became the character; the character became her/him. She/He should have displayed a range of emotions and histrionics which made the character extremely believable and real. She/He should have become an icon for viewers. She/He should be known more by her/his screen name than her/his real one ideally. The character she/he played should have become memorable and should have the potential to be remembered for a long time as one of Indian TV's great characters and she/he should be one of the primary reasons for the show's popularity.

PO 19 - Ensemble

The Best Ensemble (complete cast of a programme) Award will go to the TV Show (Fiction) which has the maximum number of welldefined, popular characters on television sharing tremendous chemistry with each other on screen.

PO 20 - Programme with a Social Message

A fictional programme which in an interesting manner delivered relevant social messages to viewers.

PO 21 - Daily Serial

A daily show, which because of its strong storyline, narrative and popular characters became the rage and became a daily habit for a majority of viewers.

PO 22 - Weekender Show

A show aired over the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), EVERY week, which because of its strong storyline, narrative and popular characters became the rage and became a habit for a majority of viewers. Special or maha episodes of daily shows are not included.

PO 23 - Continuing TV Programme

A TV programme which launched on or before 31 August 2009 and which continued to appeal to audiences throughout or for a large part of the year. The storyline/content should have held the show together.

PO 24 - Drama Series

A television series, single or multi episodic show in the fiction genre which is full of drama and emotions; a well presented show with a powerful storyline which keeps the audiences glued to their TV sets over a period of time.

PO 25 - Thriller / Horror Programme

A television series, single or multi episodic show in the fiction genre that covered issues of crime, murder, mystery, the supernatural or macabre in a manner that lent immense realism to it. The show must have covered new ground in this genre during the year.

PO 26 - Kid's Programme

This award will be given for a series or special program created and designed primarily for children between the ages of 4-16 years in any content format, be it live action, animation, or puppetry. The program's primary target audience must be children but that does not mean that it excludes family viewing.

PO 27 - Sitcom / Comedy Programme (Fiction)

A fictionalised comedy series/show that has tickled audiences, keeping them in good mirth, courtesy its humorous content and has maintained or increased its viewership throughout or for a large part of the year.

PO 28 - Comedy Show (Non-Fiction)

A non-fiction comedy series/show that has tickled audiences, keeping them in good mirth, courtesy its humorous content and has maintained or increased its viewership throughout or for a large part of the year.

PO 29 - Reality Show

The Best Reality television show is one that was unscripted, documented actual events over fiction, that featured ordinary people and professional actors. All through the show the viewers get an insight into the hardships and fortunes of the contestants.The show should have had high production values, a consistent format as well as smooth execution.

PO 30 - Game Show

The game show of the year that stood out in its genre because of its concept, format, production values, interactivity with viewers and constant innovation.

PO 31 - Dance Talent Show

A dance based TV show/event that has through its high production values, concept, content, format and execution been able to develop / explore dancing talent of either celebrities or general public and got maximum viewership

PO 32 - Singing Talent Show

A TV show/event that has been able to explore the ability / talent of either celebrities or a common man to sing and have helped them to make a career in the world of playback singing. Production values, concept, content, format and execution of the show is also an important aspect which shall be considered

PO 33 - Mythological / Historical Series

A show that tells a traditional story, typically involving supernatural beings, forces or creatures which captures and/or embodies and provides an explanation for something such as the early history of a society, a religious belief or ritual, a natural phenomenon, etc. or A drama series that is based upon events and famous figures in history.

PO 34 - Judge on a TV Show

An individual whose personality, understanding and flair made an impeccable impact on the success of the show. He / She should have displayed unique traits or characteristics which made him outstanding and popular with the audience. The particular judge should have raised the standards of content/ performances on the show. The judge could have been part of any talent show in the valid time period.

PO 35 - Youth Show (Fiction)

A television show that has made a formidable name for itself in the genre of youth entertainment. The program should have been an entertaining and well followed popular show that has become a rage with the youth. This show should have been designed primarily for youth audience.

PO 36 - Youth Show (Non Fiction)

A reality/ talent hunt/ adventure/ game show that managed to captivate viewers from an audience that is ever changing and has a short attention span. A show that is distinguished by its uniqueness, wackiness and its relevance to youth audience.

PO 37 - Televised Awards Show

An Awards show/pageant/ competition. The programs will be judged on uniqueness of concept, grandeur, quality of production, scripting, casting and hosts.

PO 38 - Televised Entertainment Show

A one-off entertainment show. This includes special programming and season finales of non fiction programmes. The programmes will be judged on their relevancy to the theme, quality of production, creative, scripting, grandeur, casting and hosts.

PO 39 - Fresh Jodi

The most talked about and talented Jodi of the year. The Jodi should have created a big impact with the performance and developed a commendable fan following. They should have appeared for the first time on television, together as a Jodi, in the given period in lead roles.

THE TECHNICAL AWARDS

TC 01 - Special/Visual Effects for Television

The individual or team from a production house/post production house that has created the most outstanding, innovative visual/special effects for a television show/serial and in the process set new standards. The use of technology in a cost-effective manner to enhance the visual appeal and originality will be given weightage.

TC 02 - Art Direction (Fiction)

The individual/company who/which has been behind the look and feel of a television show. He/she should have excelled in creating the right and authentic ambience for the show with the use of locations, sets, props, lighting, furniture, etc.

TC 03 - Art Direction (Non - Fiction)

The individual/company who/which has been behind the look and feel of a television show/genre. He/she / the company should have excelled in creating the right and authentic ambience for the show with the use of locations, sets, props, lighting and furniture.

TC 04 - DOP (Best TV Cameraman - Fiction)

The professional who made his camera talk and describe the fiction show as written by the writer or desired by the director, bringing out in detail the emotion, action or enhancing the look of the sets and thus the scenes; in effect making for eye-riveting fare. Innovation in the use of his tool - the camera - will be considered an asset.

TC 05 - DOP (Best TV Cameraman - Non Fiction)

The professional who made his camera / multi camera set up talk and describe the non fiction show as written by the writer or desired by the director, bringing out in detail the emotion, action or enhancing the look of the sets and thus the scenes; in effect making for eyeriveting fare. Innovation in the use of his tool - the camera - will be considered an asset.

TC 06 - Costumes for a TV Programme

The individual/company which has provided the most appropriate or original or trendsetting costumes/clothes for any television show/serial to give the show an authentic or outstanding look.

TC 07 - Make Up Artist

An artistic talented individual /team who is responsible for make up of actors in a television show/serial to make them look as per the character they portray on screen while emoting. In some cases the make-up artist has also the additional responsibilities of looking at the hair styling of actors.

TC 08 - Stylist

Awarded to a person responsible for the styling of a television show / serial; a person responsible for the look of each and every individual appearing on screen during the show which makes the entire show look presentable.

TC 09 - TV Show Packaging (Fiction)

TV show packaging would include quality titling, opening, break bumpers, sequencing, music, closing credits, besides the overall look and feel.

TC 10 - TV Show Packaging (Non Fiction)

Same as TC-9, except it is for a non-fiction show.

TC 11 - TV Channel Packaging (including Channel Ids & Generic Promos)

The award will go to a channel that stands out on account of its classy look, courtesy its packaging, channel IDs, the jingle, V/Os, generic channel promos and the overall look and feel of the channel.

TC 12 - Editor (Fiction)

This award will be given to a team or individual. All fictional programmes whether single or multi episodic qualify for this award.

TC 13 - Editor (Non Fiction)

This award will be given to a team or individual. All non fictional programmes including game shows, reality shows etc. whether single or multi episodic qualify for this award.

TC 14 - Background Music (Fiction)

This award will be given for background music for a single episode of a regular series or for a special, whether it be variety, music or cultural programming. Only the music composer/director is eligible and best background music score excludes the award for music for the best title song. It is the responsibility of the music director who does the background music to unify the programme by making or supervising the following: composing, transitions, themes, arranging original or pre-existing material for the given orchestra or band or electronically, rehearsing the performers and overseeing music that needs to be pre-recorded.

TC 15 - Director (Soap & Drama)

The individual whose work for a soap / drama series stands out because of the treatment of subject/situations, who managed to get the best out of his/her actors, the cameraman, the music director, the editor and managed to create a TV show that became highly popular.

TC 16 - Director (Sitcom)

Same as TC15, except the genre is sitcom.

TC 17 - Director (Thriller)

Same as TC15, except the genre is thriller.

TC 18 - Director (Non-Fiction)

Same as TC15, except the genre is non-fiction.

TC 19 - Screenplay Writer (Drama Series & Soap)

The screenplay writer whose powerful screenplay compliments the story and helps the director & dialogue writer create a gripping and popular drama series / soap.

TC 20 - Dialogue Writer (Drama Series & Soap)

The dialogue writer whose use of dialogue gave more authenticity to characters, apart from raising the drama levels in the soap.

TC 21 - Screenplay Writer (Sitcom/Comedy)

The screenplay writer whose dynamic screenplay enhances the story and helps the director & dialogue writer create a hilarious and popular comedy/ sitcom fiction series.

TC 22 - Dialogue Writer (Sitcom/Comedy)

The dialogue writer whose use of dialogue enhanced a script for a sitcom/ comedy fiction series with enough situations, punch lines and humour to make viewers chuckle consistently.

TC 23 - Storywriter

Awarded to an individual or a team for conceiving an original/adapted engaging story which goes to make for a very successful TV series.

TC 24 - Scriptwriter (Non Fiction)

Awarded to an individual or a team that is responsible for writing the narrative and dialogue of a non fiction television programme. (For eg. in a reality show the scriptwriter is responsible for whatever the anchors/ hosts and/ or characters speak throughout the show)

TC 25 - Choreographer

Someone who has helped the performers who can either be a celebrity or a common man, give a dance performance either solo or in a group in any television show by creating different styles of dance and making them rehearse for the same. The choreographer is a person responsible for the success of any performer giving a dance performance in a show.

TC 26 - Sound Recording (Fiction)

This award will be given for Sound Recording for a single episode of a regular series or for overall series of episodes. The recording engineer on-location/set is eligible for this category. It is the responsibility of the recording engineer on-location or on set to capture the best possible audio for the episode/programme by making or supervising the following: Micing techniques, choice of proper mics, distortion free recording, noise free recordings, proper segregation of tracks, recording incidental sounds, room tones and ambience sounds separately as required.

TC 27 - Sound Design (Fiction)

This award will be given for Sound Design for a single episode of a regular series or for overall series of episodes. The sound designer/sound editor who is responsible for the overall design of soundtracks is eligible for this category. It is the responsibility of the sound designer to unify the programme by making or supervising the following: sound cleaning of original location recording, sound editing, foley recording, striking a balance between use of music, Fx sounds, design sound elements etc. to enhance the impact of the onscreen visuals.

TC 28 - Sound Mix (Fiction)

This award will be given for Sound Mix for a single episode of a regular series or for overall series of episodes. The sound mixing engineer (re-recordist) is eligible for this category. It is the responsibility of the sound mixing engineer to bring together individual sound elements together and create a well balanced final soundtrack for the programme by making or supervising the following: dialogue clarity, mood or sentiment of the scene, striking the right balance between the music, non-musical effects, foley and ambience sounds along with dialogues to bring out the story in a way that engages the audience completely.

TC 29 - Sound for Non-Fiction Show

This award will be given for the Best Sound for a Non-Fictional Show for a single episode of a regular series or for overall series of episodes. The sound engineers responsible for the best overall good sounding programme are eligible for this category. It is the responsibility of the sound engineer/s on set and the sound mixing engineer in post to create the most impactful audio experience by making or supervising the following: clear pickup of sound of main talents, anchors, judges and audience, musical instruments played live by musicians and creating clean and well balanced mix live on location which is further enhanced by the sound post engineer to create a smooth and rich overall aural experience.

TC 30 - Title Song

The individual/company who/which has created an impressive and original title song for the TV show. He/She/Company should have excelled in striking the right chord thereby creating the right and authentic ambience for the show with the use of instruments, technology, lyrics and more.

TC 31 - Singer

The individual(s) who has/have effortlessly given their voice to create an original, popular title song for a TV show. He/She should have played a vital role as the lead singer of the song, thereby creating the right and authentic ambience for the show and becoming a household name.

TC 32 - Voice Over

Awarded to the artiste who has given the voice as a narrator or a dubbing artist for any character from a television show. He/She should have displayed a range of emotions through their voice that made the character extremely believable and real, thereby making the character popular and memorable.

THE TRADE AWARDS

TR 01 - Cable operator /MSO (Multi Systems Operator )

The Multi System Operator which has consistently provided optimum service all through the year and even provided value added services to either other cable operators or subscribers. Size is of no consequence but the cable operator should be serving a sizeable subscriber base to be labeled an MSO.

TR 02 - TV Production House

The production house of the year is a company that has set new standards of management and excellence in terms of number of hours produced, its dealings with artistes, suppliers & customers, the number of genres, the channels it is working with and consistency in producing good, successful shows.

TR 03 - Creative Producer - Channel

Awarded to the individual from an entertainment channel who has been successfully involved in producing, executive quality, innovative content by working closely with the director, produce etc. thereby contributing in the development of new content and features, related to the channel/client, across multiple platforms and/or events.

TR 04 - Creative Producer - Production House

Awarded to the individual from a production house who has been successfully involved in producing, executive quality, innovative content by working closely with the director, produce etc. thereby contributing in the development of new content and features, related to the production hours/client, across multiple platforms and/or events.

TR 05 - Marketing Team

The team from an Indian television channel which has performed innovative and interesting marketing campaigns, associated with multiple brands and/or designed/executed new marketing strategies for the shows, channel and/or products. In order to nominate, the respective team should send a presentation focusing on the same.

TR 06 - Sales Team

The team from an Indian television channel which has excelled in sales over the specified time period. The team should have associated with multiple brands, designed/executed new strategies to directly or indirectly generate revenue for the channel and achieved beyond the expected target. In order to nominate, the respective team should send a presentation focusing on the same.

TR 07 - Communication Team

The team from an Indian television channel which has been involved in cutting edge communication. The team should have been involved efficiently in innovative and interesting communication, associated with multiple agencies, publications, bloggers etc thereby created new strategies to promote the events, shows, and channel. In order to nominate, the respective team should send a presentation focusing on the same.

TR 08 - Distribution Team

TR 09 - Digital / Social Media Team

The team from an Indian television channel which has been actively involved in high-end digital and social media activities. The team should have constantly been involved in building the online traffic, engaging with the audience using innovative posts and content ideas across to promote the events, shows, and channel multiple social media platforms. Further, the team should have successfully maintained and improved the reach, engagement rate and other metrics concerned to the respective platform. To nominate in this category, the team/company must send a presentation focusing on the same.

TR 10 - CSR Initiatives

The team from a channel which has involved in extensive CSR activities there by performed innovative and interesting campaigns, associated with multiple brands and/or designed/executed new strategies for events, shows, and channel. In order to nominate, the respective team should send a presentation focusing on the same.

TR 11 - DTH Operator

The DTH operator who has consistently provided optimum service all through the year and even provided value added services to their subscribers. The operator should be serving a sizeable subscriber base to be labeled as a DTH operator.

TR 12- Innovative Brand Integration

Awarded to the entertainment channel which has associated with brands to create innovative, new-age advertising and/or promotional campaigns, which have impressed the audience and received appreciation. The entertainment channel should have set a benchmark by being involved in multiple brand initiatives/campaigns in any number of genres and/or the platforms. In order to nominate in this category, the respective team/company should send a presentation focusing on the same.

THE PROGRAMMING AWARDS

PR 01 - Edutainment / Science / Knowledge Based Show

The premise of the show should be imparting education/knowledge. The show that does this in an innovative, interesting and entertaining manner will be eligible for this award.

PR 02 - Entertainment News Show

The show that dealt with news and reports on the world of entertainment / films / celebrities / parties and gave updates on the entertainment world in a manner that kept the viewers hooked.

PR 03 - Public Service Programme

A programme that focused on communicating a public interest message.

PR 04 - Lifestyle & Fashion Show

A show that covers trends in fashion and lifestyle effectively, giving us insights into the world of the glamourous. It should have stood out for its concept and format, production values and constant innovation, as well as refreshing presentations and strong editorial content. Good anchoring, fast-paced edits, camerawork, good subjects and a well-rounded approach to the topic will give the show an added advantage.

PR 05 - Talk Show

The talk show on an entertainment channel that relied on chatter to bring out various nuances of an individual's - be it a common man or a celebrity or a professional - personality. PR 06 - Cookery show

A television programme that presents the preparation of food covering one or more dishes over the course of the show showing all intermediate stages of cooking. The show should be at least partly educational, as the host teaches the viewing audience how to prepare different meals with each episode.

PR 09 - Health & Fitness Show

A television programme that educates the audiences on how to take care of their health and stay fit, either by teaching them various forms of exercise or just by educating them about various diets and other health related issues

PR 10 - Spiritual Show

A show that is informative, engaging with the audience and providing comprehensive coverage of any event/show and giving its viewers all the right information, relevant coverage and details about the same.

THE DIGITAL AWARDS

DI 01 - Digital Series (Fiction)

Awarded to a series, single or multi episodic show in the fiction genre which is high on content, full of drama and emotions; a well presented show with a powerful storyline which keeps the audiences interested in the series over a period of time.

DI 02 - Digital Series (Non-Fiction)

Awarded to a series, single or multi episodic show in the non-fiction genre which is informative, well executed and high on content; a well presented show with a powerful concept which keeps the audiences interested in the series over a period of time.

DI 03 - Digital Talk Show

The talk show from a digital channel/platform that relied on chatter to bring out various nuances of an individual, be it a common man or a celebrity or a professional - personality. DI 04 - Digital Breakthrough Performance of the Year

Awarded to a team or individual who presented a breakthrough performance, high on content, information, drama and/or emotions; a well presented show with a powerful concept, well appreciated by the audiences.

DI 05 - Digital Comedy Performance of the Year

Awarded to a teamor individual who presented an outstanding comedy performance, high on content, drama and emotions; a well presented, well executed show with a powerful concept/storyline.

DI 06 - Fastest Growing OTT

The Over-the-top (OTT) platform which has seen an impressive growth with continuous increase in subscribers, downloads and the content of which is liked by the audience and is much spoken about. To nominate in this category, the respective company should send a presentation focusing on the same.

DI 07 - Digital Production House

Awarded to the production house which has excelled in producing the content for a digital platform. The company whose work for a program of any genre stands out because of the quality of the content and the show packaging (quality titling, opening, sequencing, music, credits, and overall look and feel).

DI 08 - Actor

An artiste who essays a role or roles was so effective that he became identified with it. He became the character; the character became him. He should have displayed a range of emotions and histrionics which made the character extremely believable and real. He should have become an icon for viewers. He should be known more by his screen name than his real one ideally. The character he played should have become memorable and should have the potential to be remembered for a long time as one of the digital entertainment's great characters and he should be one of the primary reasons for the show's popularity.

The character should have become memorable.

DI 12 - Screenplay Writer

The screenplay writer whose powerful screenplay complements the story and helps the director and dialogue writer create a gripping and popular drama series/show.

DI 13 - Story Writer

Awarded to an individual or a tem for conceiving an original/adapted engaging story which goes to make for a very successful web series/show.

DI 14 - Director

The individual whose work for a series/show stands out because the treatment of subject/situation(s), who managed to get the best out of his/her actors, the cameraman, the music director, the editor and managed to create a TV show that became highly popular.

DI 15 - Editor

This award will be given to a team or an individual. All series/shows whether single or multi episodic qualify for this award.

DI 16 - Creative Producer

Awarded to the individual from the company who has been successfully involved in producing, executive quality, innovative content by working closely with the director, producer etc. thereby contributing in the development of new content and features, related to the production house/client, across multiple platforms and/or events.

THE KIDS AWARDS

KI 01 - Local Animated Show on Indian TV

Awarded to the locally produced, Indian animation show created for the audience. The show should be informative, engaging and should have created the right ambience there by becoming popular.

KI 02 - Local Adaption of International Show on Indian TV

Awarded to the international animation show adapted for Indian audiences, which has impressed the viewers with its dubbing, script and local nuances. The show should be informative, engaging and should have created the right ambience there by becoming popular.

KI 03 - Innovative Kids Programming Initiative

The studio which has produced and set a benchmark in innovative kids programming on television. The studio should have been involved in multiple marketing/CSR initiatives/campaigns in any number of genres and/or the channels.

KI 04 - Most Popular Kids Digital Initiative

The studio which has produced and set a benchmark in innovative kids programming on any digital platform. The studio should have been involved in multiple initiatives/campaigns in any number of genres and/or the platforms.

KI 05 - Animation Studio

The studio which has produced animation shows for a television channel. The award will be given to the studio that has set new standards of management and excellence in terms of number of hours produced, its dealing with artistes, number of genres, the channels it is working with and the consistency of producing good, successful shows.

KI 06 - Voice Over

Awarded to the artiste who has given the voice for any character from an animation show on television. He/She should have displayed a range of emotions through their voice that made the character extremely believable and real, thereby making the character popular and memorable.

KI 07 - Kids TV Movies

The studio/channel which has produced Indian animated films specially designed for television audience. In order to nominate for the category, the respective studio/channel should send the movie clip and details about the same as mentioned on the form.

KI 08 - Short Format

The Studio which has produced an Indian animated short, of any genre, for Indian television audience. To qualify for the category, the duration of the video should be less than 40 minutes, including credits.

  1. There is no limit to the number of entries per category that can be submitted from broadcasters/OTT platforms, production houses and media organizations.
  2. We have further fine tuned The Fifteenth Indian Telly Awards categories and rules taking into account feedback from the industry. There are 117 categories for which entries can be sent. There is, however, NO LIMIT on the number of entries that can be submitted for each category for television work that has been produced/achieved/performed during the period from 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2016.
  3. The entries for all the categories have to reach the Indian Television Dot Com Pvt. Ltd. office in Mumbai (as per the address mentioned in this kit) on or before the closure of working hours on 10th November 2016. No entries will be accepted after the specified date under any circumstances.
  4. A processing fee of Rs 1200/- PER ENTRY (Rupees One Thousand Only) is applicable. So please append a cheque / DD / Pay Order of the correct amount along with your entries. The payment should be made out in the name of 'INDIAN TELEVISION DOT COM PVT LTD'. Cash payments will be accepted only in the case of hand deliveries and a receipt will be provided. There will be no refunds of the entry fees if entries are rejected by the jury as entrants should take every care to ensure that they follow the instructions given in this kit.
  5. Only entries that are complete and meet the necessary requirements will be accepted. Respective 2 copies of DVD (HD quality) must have the footage / clippings of the individual or the show in the specified format (depending on the category for which the entry is being received), photographs, detailed credits, the channel and the date of original telecast.
  6. All postage/courier charges must be pre-paid. No entry material will be returned and all the submitted material will become the property of Indian Television Dot Com Pvt Ltd.
  7. The nominations for all categories have to necessarily be from the channels/networks/OTT platforms that have national reach in India.
  8. Only programmes in Hindi / English are allowed to participate. Regional language channels and programmes are not eligible for The Fifteenth Indian Telly Awards.
  9. The details in the form should be typed or handwritten clearly (IN LEGIBLE CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY).
  10. For the category of Trade Awards, individual entries will not be accepted, the entry has to be a corporate entry. This means that the individual candidate nomination for an award should have been forwarded by the company / corporate / production house with the appropriate management approval.
  11. Entries once submitted and accepted by Indian Television Dot Com Pvt Ltd, will be considered as final. No alterations, replacements will be permitted.
  12. Duplication of entries by the Production House / Channel will not be allowed. If separate entries are received for the same programme from the Channel and Production House, it will be treated as ONE entry.
  13. Each form can be used only for a single entry; No multiple entries per form will be permitted. If you need more forms, you can photocopy the enclosed entry form or download one from www.indiantellyawards.com by following the instructions mentioned on the web site.
  14. The Indian Telly Awards Jury and The Indian Telly Awards Governing Body's decisions will be final and binding for all the entrants.
  15. For categories such as Best Sitcom, Continuing Show, Drama Series, entrants should send one complete episode aired without commercials. Additionally, another 20-minute show reel of the television programme covering many episodes edited and compressed to give a flavour of the show should be submitted along with a 500 word synopsis of the show / programme and what went into its making like photographs, clippings of marketing activities, etc.
  16. For categories such as Best Music Director/ Lyricist/Title Singer/Background Score on CD recording and DVD of the show should accompany the entry. The lyrics should be submitted as a hard copy for the Best Lyricist entry. The submitted tapes should include the song in its entirety and enough additional footage before and after the song to give the judges a sense of its context for the Best Title Song category. For Best Background Music Score samples over various episodes along with show footage would be needed to enable the judges to come to an effective decision.
  17. For categories such as Best Actor (Male/Female) /TV Personality/TV Anchor/Presenter/Actor in a Comic Role (Female/Male)/Actor in a Negative Role (Male/Female) a 20 minute show reel containing excerpts of the best scenes running across episodes where the person's talents are best on display should be submitted along with a single episode of the show where the actor features to a large extent.
  18. Entries must be submitted on a DVD with HD quality (2 copies) label each DVD on the front: Title of entry, category number, duration of entry, show reel on tape with a descriptive note of shows being put on tape (minutes/seconds). Include the following additional information on the front label: company name, contact person, telephone no. and email address.
  19. For the sound category entries should be in Quick Time (MOV) format with 5.1 audio mix embedded to it.
  20. A covering letter must accompany the entry forms, detailing the total number of entries along with the category code, category name, name of the programme / nominees and payment details.
  21. The jury and the governing body of the Indian Telly Awards reserves the right not to award a winner in any particular category, if the quality of the entries does not meet up to the required standards.
