Mumbai
to host TV awards
CHANNEL wars will give way to some tele awards now. Sony, STAR and HFCL will be supporting the first television awards to honour outstanding management, creative concepts and innovative production on Indian television. The India Tele Awards will be organised in Mumbai on July 7. Among the prominent awards which have already been decided by voting online are Amitabh Bachchan for TV personality of the year, DD Metro channel of the year and Peter Mukherjea of STAR for TV Executive of the year. The awards are being organised by the Mumbai-based Indian Television Private Ltd and has been supported by TV biggies including STAR and Sony. In it’s first edition, the telly awards will be limited to 17 categories. The awards are divided into two categories, executive awards and programme awards. |
